Songs For Chop by They Might Be Giants

These are songs that were written explicitly for The Chopping Block and Chop Shop around 2003 by They Might Be Giants, not previously available anywhere. The EP includes the two official themes for The Chopping Block, “Oranges and Graphic Design” and “Robot Design” the latter being the precursor to the kid’s song “Robot Parade”. Also included are the Chop Shop themes “I Got My T-shirt Back” and a largely misunderstood theme titled “Prisoners of Graphic Design”. As a bonus for purchasing the full EP is an upbeat alternate version of “Oranges”, instrumental versions of each “Orange” theme and a somewhat fantastical Testimonial for The Chopping Block by John Flansburgh.
