Banner Ads for iTraffic (1996-1998)
It was incredibly challenging to pour hours into crafting an image that was restricted to a mere 468×60 dimensions and had to stay under an 8k size limit. The constraints were maddening at times.
To add to the challenge, clients often insisted on animating nearly every concept. Just adding a second frame would instantly push the file size to 9k, further complicating matters. The balance between creativity and constraints was a constant juggle.
I only wish I could find the banner that we were doings for First Auction where we needed to illustrate a landlord hat.
There is not much else to say about this kind of work. Only that it did pay the bills for the first 2-3 years of business. That is me on the left. I won.
